From Patient to Problem Solver

For 11 years, I navigated a complex healthcare system without answers. As a patient searching for a diagnosis, I experienced firsthand the frustration of medical jargon, confusing insurance systems, and the isolation that comes with not understanding your own health journey. This experience didn’t break me. It became my superpower.

Building Trusscare

As Co-Founder and CEO of Trusscare, I lead a mission-driven team creating a healthcare literacy platform that serves patients and family caregivers. By combining technology, gamified learning, and a peer community to help seniors understand their diagnoses, navigate insurance, and advocate for their care.

Opportunities don’t happen, you create them.” – Madeleine Albright

Beyond the Startup

My work extends far beyond Trusscare’s walls. I’m a public speaker, mentor, and advocate for the next generation of healthcare innovators. I’m passionate about achieving big goals, and my track record shows it.

Driven from Day One

I’ve never been one to wait for the “right time.” I started volunteering at the San Diego Zoo at 13, translating complex conservation science for diverse audiences. I began college at 15 and graduated high school at 16. I earned my Girl Scout Gold Award. I started my own company. I’ve worked at multiple life science startups, served as Director of Business Development for a biotech company, and managed over 100 people across various roles. I’ve been public speaking for over 11 years, refining my ability to communicate complex ideas to any audience. These aren’t just accomplishments. They’re proof that when you combine drive, efficiency, and technology, you can make things happen faster than anyone expects.

Speaking & Thought Leadership

I speak at industry conferences and universities about healthcare innovation, patient communication, and the future of health technology. With over a decade of public speaking experience, I’ve learned how to translate complex scientific concepts into insights that resonate. I share perspectives on artificial empathy in patient care, building startups with purpose, and creating technology that serves human needs first.

Mentoring the Next Generation

I’m deeply committed to inspiring college students to pursue careers in health tech and STEM. Too often, students see science and business as separate paths. I show them the power of combining both. Whether I’m speaking on campus, mentoring aspiring founders, or sharing the real challenges and wins of startup life, I help students see that they can build careers at the intersection of health, technology, and business.

Bridging Science and Business

With a neuroscience background from UC San Diego and experience spanning laboratory research, biotech manufacturing, business development leadership, and multiple life science startups, I bring a rare combination to the table. I’ve built optogenetic systems in the lab and pitched to investors. I’ve managed teams, navigated regulatory challenges, and scaled operations as Director of Business Development for a biotech company.

This multidisciplinary foundation allows me to speak the language of scientists, clinicians, investors, and patients. I translate complex innovations into accessible solutions not because I studied communication theory, but because I know what it’s like to be on the other side, desperate for someone to just explain things clearly.

The Bigger Mission

I’m driven by efficiency, energized by technology, and motivated by impact. Whether I’m building Trusscare, speaking at a conference, or mentoring a student, the mission is the same: bridge the gaps that keep innovation from reaching the people who need it most. Between science and business. Between complex medical information and patient understanding. Between brilliant ideas and real-world impact.
